Thanks for posting on the forum also!
Treasure Island is a great drum circle. The beach is wonderful, the vibe is really cool, and the sunsets are amazing.
I had an incredible evening there a year or so ago when a drummer named Kumba entered the circle. I'm not sure how he did it, but everybody fell into a fantastic groove that lasted until the drum circle was over. I believe he said he was from Miami.
I have to give a lot of credit to our fantastic copy editor, Ester Venouziou, who had the difficult task of taking all of our articles and gently chopping away at them so they'd fit into our pages. I tend to be long winded and when I turned this article in to her I can only imagine her thoughts. She is very kind, but bizness is bizness, and when she gave me the article back, minus a couple pages or so of solid text, it seemed to be all there.
I suppose the draft I turned in had a bit of extra hippy-dippy metaphysical meanderings of visionary descriptions of everything from the spanish moss in the trees to the hypnotic beats of the Paralounge Drum Circle. So what you read of my article in the first issue of Drum Circle Magazine has all the important elements and I think my message makes it through just fine. Basically, Paralounge is a wonderful family drum circle event in the magical Florida woods. It has something for everybody!
Hope to see you there this coming October!!

How do we get a copy to every school???
As with any new website, as we grow more and more people will get involved. I would be happy to see this forum grow to become one of the main drum circle resources on the web for new drummers as well as the older seasoned drummers.
